We are proud to announce that Clean Sweep has been awarded Business of the Year (0-25 employees) at the Swansea Bay Business Awards 2018. The accolade was received at a ceremony held on Friday 23 February in Swansea’s Brangwyn Hall.
Clean Sweep overcame tough competition from other established businesses in the area, walking away with an award from one of the biggest and most prestigious award events in the Swansea Bay region.
The company’s founder, Helen Williams, started the business in 2006 using £20 and 1000 flyers to advertise its domestic services. During the twelve years of being established, the company has grown vastly, with growth figures up 50 per cent over the past two years alone.
Clean Sweep has expanded its service offering over the years, becoming experts in the commercial, industrial and domestic cleaning industry, and has undergone numerous recruitment drives to meet the needs of large contracts. Examples of such significant commercial and industrial contracts include Swansea University’s SA1 student accommodation development and Swansea’s Parc Tawe redevelopment.
As well as providing high quality domestic and commercial cleaning services, Clean Sweep also treats corporate social responsibility with upmost importance. The company supports local charities and raises funds for worthy causes, including running its own annual charity football event in Pontlliw Park to raise money for the palliative care unit, Ty Olwen, at Morriston Hospital.
Helen Williams, managing director of Clean Sweep, commented:
“I am so pleased with how much recognition Clean Sweep has received from the Swansea Bay Business Awards 2018. Acknowledgement needs to be given to the team at Clean Sweep, as without their commitment to delivering high quality customer service, we would not be where we are today.
“The growth that Clean Sweep has seen over the last two years has been a significant achievement for the company, and we are extremely proud of the large contracts that we have secured. We aspire to further increase our financial turnover in the next year, and we’re excited to see what 2018 brings.”
